Information about Delivery
- Which cities do you deliver at?
- We deliver to more than 2500 cities All Over India. Specifically:
Cakes & Flowers: These being perishable products, are delivered to around 250 major cities & towns of India. Click here for list
All other items: Delivered to 2500 cities & towns in India
- What are the timelines for delivery?
- Same Day Express delivery is available, only for Cakes & Flowers, for orders placed upto 11:30 IST. Customer must indicate this in the "Special Instructions" box while placing order.
All other items are sent via Reputed Courier Companies (Blue Dart or equivalent) and gets delivered in 2-4 days depending on destination.
Locations not covered by courier companies are serviced via Indian Speed Post. This option takes 5-6 days for delivery.
- How are Perishable products (Cakes & Flowers) sent?
- Cakes & Flowers, being perishable products are purchased locally at the city of delivery and handed over by our trained agents. This is to ensure maximum freshness and speedy delivery. All other gifts are sent via Courier / Speed post.
- Do I get online tracking facility?
- Sure! For items sent via Courier, we can provide the Blue Dart Airway Bill number which can be tracked online. However, online tracking is not available under Indian Postal Services. We can provide you the Booking Number, if you so require.
- How can I help to ensure that the delivery is made in time?
- Here are a couple of tips to ensure that your gift reaches in time:
- Please ensure that the Recipient Name, Address & Pin code is correct.
- Optionally, please do fill in the Recipient's Mobile / Landline Number so that (s)he can be contacted in case of they are out of home
- Do try to place the order well in time (depending on the location).
Quality of Gift Items
- Are the same items as displayed on the website delivered?
- Gujarat Gifts does not practice the "Bait & Switch" tactics of substituting inferior products which some services indulge in. However, at times, we may have to deliver a similar / substitute product of similar quality & price in case the original product is not available. In no case, will there be a compromise in the quality of the gift items.
Perishable products like Cakes & Flowers are prepared locally at the city of delivery, hence they may vary slightly from the image due to differences in the artistic interpretation of florists / bakers in different cities.
- Will colors match exactly in case of Fabric based products (Sarees, Handicrafts etc)?
- Due to the limitations of the Digital Media in rendering color on computer screens with uniformity, you may perceive a slight difference in color tone (marginal difference) for Fabric based products like Sarees, Handicraft items etc. However, the quality & other specifications will remain the same.
- From where are the Gift items sourced?
- Gujarat Gifts sources the gift items from the most reputed companies to ensure a pleasant gifting experience for you. Please be assured : Quality is important to us.
Payment & Security
- What are the Payment Options Offered?
- Credit Cards : VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, DISCOVER
- Wire Transfers: We can do this for you for orders valued at $ 200 & above. The cost of transfer will have to be borne by you. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
- Western Union: If you do not have a credit card, you may pay us via Western Union. The cost of transfer will have to be borne by you. Please contact us at email@example.com for details.
- Cash Deposited in our Bank Account: You may transfer funds to our ICICI / AXIS Bank account via Cash / Cheque / Online Transfers. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
- Are Credit Card Payments safe?
- All our Credit Card payment processing is done by secure Payment Gateway using 128 bit SSL encryption. The details of your credit card are never seen by us and this is the safest and the most convenient payment option.
- Will you get my order instantly after I place it online?
- You also get a Order Number right after placing the order, which can be used to lookup the details of the order and its status.
- Am I charged anything extra over & above the displayed prices?
- No. We do not have hidden prices like Shipping, Handling etc. What you see is what will be charged. Delivery within India is absolutely Free.
Some items, which are shippable worldwide have extra delivery charges indicated clearly with them.
Also, if you are paying for the gifts in Dollars using a International Credit Card (e.g. billed in Rupees) your bank may levy a conversion charge to you, which is normally a small markup on the exchange rate.
Custom Instructions for Delivering your Gifts
- Can you deliver on a specific Date?
- Please see the section on Delivery Information above for delivery timelines. We are normally able to delivery Express Gifts like Cakes & Flowers within 24 hours and can schedule delivery as per desired date.
Since other gift items are sent via Courier, we time the despatches in such a way that the gift reaches around the desired date. However, since we cannot control the schedule of courier companies, we cannot promise delivery on exact date.
- Between what times of the day do you deliver?
- We can deliver gifts between 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, though we are flexible enough to customize any special requests for you. Please write in at email@example.com for your special request and we will respond asap.
- Can I send a Custom Message along with my Gift?
- We encourage you to do this! Please mention your Message in the "Special Instructions" box while checking out.
- Where do I Mention the Desired Date of Delivery?
- Please write this in the "Special Instructions" box while checking out. You can also email it to us.
- Can you write my Special Text on the Cake?
- We can do this for delivery in larger locations, subject to a limit of 15 characters.
- What happens if you do not deliver or deliver late?
- If you place your order keeping in mind the delivery timeline as above, we will be able to deliver it in a timely manner, unless it happens due to forces beyond our control (Natural Calamity, Strikes, Riots etc). In case of any issues, we will proactively keep you informed via email.
Please do ensure that the recipient is available at the given address to take delivery of the gifts and the phone number is correct. Our maximum liability under any circumstance is limited to a refund of the purchase price.
We are committed to helping your gifts reach in time, even if you are late in ordering.
- What is your Refund Policy?
- We do not issue refunds in case of a) Recipient does not accept a perishable gift b) Customer does not want the gift c) Address is incorrect (for non-perishable gifts, we may re-ship the gifts in exceptional cases) d) Delivery is not done as per a specified date or time (which we have not expressly agreed on; since it may not be feasible to deliver on certain dates / times).
Only in exceptional circumstances where there is a gross error from our end, and no other resolution is possible, we can refund the money. Our maximum liability in any event is limited to a refund of the purchase price.
- What is your Email Policy?
- In a nutshell: a) We do not rent or sell your email address to any third party b) We send out promos announcing our Festive Specials, New Arrivals etc which has a provision to opt-out. c) We encourage you to report any instances of unsolicited email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will resolve them speedily.
