He woke up at his usual time. Collected his newspaper, sipped onto his coffee and read the paper in leisure. It was his off and he planned to help his wife get groceries. He saw various advertisements and offers in the newspaper and roughly turned the pages to finish his article. One particular ad caught his attention and left him awestruck for a good minute. He got up from his chair and went to his daughter’s room.
His daughter was pleased to see daddy, and more so when he asked her to get ready to grab lunch outside. Her gloomy room lit up with a brilliant smile, as she looked forward to spending time with dad on a holiday. |

They say if a friendship lasts more than seven years, two people are no more friends, they are family. If that were to be true, might as well start a new relationship. If you have a friend who has been there through your thick and thin, ups and downs, go ahead and celebrate Rakhi with them. |

Who said Rakhi could only be tied to a man? If you have a cheerleader who pampers you, protects you from the evil world, and is there for you like a brother, go ahead and tie them a Rakhi. Yes, we are talking about your “Foster mother”, “Go-To-Bestie”, “Girl-best-friend” or “Sister”. |

They are the most innocent creatures on this earth. They are a living, breathing image of loyalty. You guessed it right! They are dogs. Well, for those who are not so fond of dogs, you can tie a Rakhi to your favourite animal and create one of the most pious bonds in the face of humanity. After all, they can protect you like no other and of course, love you immensely. |

Who else can qualify this list? Well, your uncle, grandfather, mother, grandmother, aunt, or anyone in your family who you feel connected to. |

Thus, we suggest you to spread love in the best way; through love! We feel a void, even when we have a massive set of people around us. Creating such a bond with someone who isn’t family or immediate family has its own inhibitions. However, take a step forward; try to lend a virtuous hand to someone who feels just how you do on Rakhi. |

Meanwhile, the father visited a provision store and got certain things packed. He returned, got ready and sat in the living room. As his daughter entered the living room, she saw her father sitting in a corner with a freshly ironed white Kurta. He smiled at her and handed a Rakhi to her. He asked her to tie it onto his wrist to make their relationship deeper. Tears rolled down her eyes as she tied the Rakhi to him. She gave him a tight hug and, in an instance, changed from the Father-Daughter relationship to Best Friends.
